Root Canals
When a tooth fractures badly, or when it has deep decay causing a tooth ache, you don’t need to have the tooth pulled in most cases.
The nerve can be removed and the tooth can be filled inside. This process is called a root canal and in most cases the work can be done without pain. (Really!) Sometimes a bad abscess or infection will prevent freezing from working well, and in this case the infection needs to be tackled first. After the infection is under control, the work can be done on the tooth comfortably.
In the past it used to take many appointments to do a root canal, but now it can be done in one or two.
